ON THE GO!

Design Brief

Steaming is a process of using hot steam to remove wrinkles, freshen, and sanitize garments, fabrics, and other items. It involves the application of high-temperature steam to relax the fibers of the material, making them more pliable and allowing the wrinkles to naturally release. Steaming is commonly used as an alternative to ironing, especially for delicate fabrics or garments that are difficult to iron.

What is Steaming?

Psychology behind steaming clothes

Folding/Hanging: Once clothing items are dry and wrinkle-free, they can be folded or hung to keep them organized and in good condition.

Drying involves removing moisture from the washed clothing items through air-drying, line-drying, or using a dryer. Dryers may use heat or air to dry clothing, depending on the type of dryer.

Ironing or pressing involves using a hot iron or steam to remove wrinkles and creases from clothing items. This step can be important for maintaining a neat and professional appearance.

Washing involves using water, detergent, and agitation to remove dirt, grime, and stains from clothing and may have different cycles for different types of fabrics and levels of dirtiness.

Pre-treatment involves treating stains and heavily soiled areas with a pre-treatment solution, which helps to break down the dirt and make it easier to remove during washing.

Sorting involves separating clothing items by color, fabric type, and level of dirtiness, preventing color bleeding and damage to delicate fabrics
